DR. JACOB LIBERMAN
Light and vision

Originally trained as an optometrist, Dr. Liberman’s life changed in 1976 when his poor eyesight instantly cleared during a profound meditative experience.
From that moment on, he began questioning the standard practices of vision and general health care.
His search for a deeper understanding of the healing process led him to the field of light and colour therapy — and to the realization that light, vision, and consciousness are inseparably connected.
An internationally recognized authority on holistic vision care, he considers most vision problems to be the result of unconscious decision to `close your eyes' to emotional pain or discomfort and that by altering your perception, you can reintegrate the original disruption in the connection between mind and body.
His 1991 book, “Light: Medicine of the Future” established him as an authority in the field of light and colour therapy.
Now in its fifth printing in paperback and third in hardcover, “Light: Medicine of the Future” has been translated into nine languages and is considered a classic in its field.
Dr. Liberman received a Doctorate of Optometry in 1973, a Ph.D. in Vision Science in 1986, and an honorary Doctorate of Science in 1996 for his pioneering work with light and colour.
He maintains an active speaking schedule, conducting lectures and workshops around the world. He has addressed more than 2000 live audiences, and has been interviewed on hundreds of television and radio programs.
Dr. Liberman's work and research is highly regarded among the more traditionally academic routed ‘light witnesses’ that will participate in Light: More than Meets The Eye.”
He touches on the ‘unexplainably metaphysical’ aspect shared by all who try to understand ‘light.’
