CHRIS AINSCOUGH
Chris Ainscough is a Vancouver- based composer, working primarily in the film music world.
A Leo award win and Genie nomination for “Suddenly Naked” and other nominations, including Leo’s and Golden Reels stretch back ten years, when he began writing for pictures.
Chris has worked in the music and post- production business for twenty-five years and has been involved in hundreds of hours of television and film projects.
“Moving Malcolm” directed by Ben Ratner , is Chris’ latest feature film score.
Educated in Vancouver at Capilano College and with a Diploma of Technology in Broadcast Communications from BCIT, Chris started his carrier in private radio.
He moved to CBC radio and then on to Spot Shop Studio and Post Modern Sound where many large-scale soundtracks for Expo 86 were designed.
This led Chris to film and TV post-production.
Hundreds of hours of TV and film work include the TV series ‘Highlander’, The Adventures of Black Stallion and MacGyver.
Chris is currently working from his state-of-the-art recording facility on various film and multi-media projects.
